A compassionate individual (company) enters into a tripartite agreement with HopeLabs and a prosthetic centre known to them, establishing a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, a predetermined quantity of prostheses is paid for in advance at a fixed price. These are then provided based on the prosthetic centre’s delivery schedule, tailored to the patients’ specific measurements (sizes). Each of these prostheses, in addition to the individual HopeLabs marking, contains the inscription “Under the patronage of [Invididual / Company Name]”.
According to our data, the cost of expedited delivery of prostheses to other countries often exceeds the cost of the prosthesis itself, and delivery typically takes at least ten days. We propose the following scheme to optimize logistics and reduce the cost and time of manufacturing prostheses.
The centre purchases a batch of prostheses from HopeLabs in a single order. HopeLabs then manufactures and ships the unchangeable parts of the prostheses cost-effectively. In addition, the centre buys a Printer necessary for the 3D printing of personalized parts, our printing application and a corresponding amount of consumable materials.
Next, the centre takes the necessary measurements of the adjustable part of the prosthesis for a specific patient and sends them to the HopeLabs design centre. Our team creates the design file for this component and then remotely initiates and monitors the printing process on the printer at the prosthetic centre. As a result, the patient in need can receive a customized prosthesis within a few days at a minimal cost due to the absence of additional time and money spent on transportation. The printed parts can also include information about the prosthetic centre.
A cooperation agreement, under which the prosthetic centre compiles a set of orders for prostheses and pays for them, with specific measurements taken at the centre. HopeLabs processes these orders and sends the finished products in batches, reducing the cost of logistics. Additionally, the centre reduces the cost of the prosthesis relative to the base price by undertaking a part of the manufacturing process – conducting measurements.
We produce custom prostheses for individuals through our online ordering system, which includes filling out measurement forms and agreeing on personalization details. We do not operate a commission-based program for customer acquisition for our products, believing it unethical to gain financially from the misfortunes of others.
